SAMBA is a very rhythmical and quick dance. It originated in Africa, but was adopted by Brazilian and is now their national dance. Rio Carnival is a time where we can appreciate the different dance schools. There are several rhythms that can be found in samba, allowing for different interpretation of the music. CHACHA comes from Cuba as does Rumba. It was created by Enrique Jarrin, who developed the dance starting from mambo steps.
Chacha is a quick dance with a different rhythm than rumba (counted: cha-cha-one, two, three). Movement of feet is similar in both dances and is extremely important.
